From the funding of Mnistry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, one (floating) licence of GiD 15 software (developed in CIMNE, Barcelona) has been purchased.

GiD is a universal, adaptive and user-friendly pre and post processor for numerical simulations in science and engineering, based on the finite element method. It has been designed to cover all the common needs in the numerical simulations:

• Geometrical modeling (CAD),
• Mesh generation,
• Definition of analysis data,
• Data transfer to analysis software,
• Visualization of results.

GiD software will strengthen the research capacity of the members of the Chair of Engineering Mechanics and Theory of Structures, as well as of the other researchers at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
